JORDAN 1&4

I learned this hatch shader technique by watching a siggraph presentation by Liron Eldar-Ashkenazi. Layering on different types of textures: cross hatch, halftone, water color strokes; gives the shoes a grit and realness despite the illustrated look. Using lights to shape the shadows and the overdrawn lines help highlight the upper cuff of the red 1’s. my favorite Jordans are the Concords. I begged my parents for a pair of 5’s in middle school. Something about these shoes captured my heart and the hearts of every kid across the globe in the late 80’s/early 90’s. Nike knows how to make a shoe.
